Facility - Overview

Accommodation at Dunagiri Retreat comprises of three lovingly restored houses - Dunagiri House, Trishul Cottage and Panchachuli Cottage, all located within our expansive estate. Though essentially minimalist and spartan by design, rooms are designed with an elegant yet relaxed ambience, perfect for you to snuggle up with your favourite book, to sit with a cup of our special herbal tea or to gently withdraw from the outer world into your inner being.

Our current rates are from as below. Rates are inclusive of accommodation for two adults and all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and evening tea).

Rooms in Dunagiri House: Enjoy the luxury of our largest rooms with best of the views. Surrounded by flower gardens and fruit orchards, these are our most convenient rooms suitable for all age groups including the elderly. At a central location within the Retreat, cars can drive right up to Dunagiri House. Sitting/meditation area within rooms. En-suite modern bathrooms. Huge courtyards at front and rear. Large covered verandahs. You may enjoy en-suite dining in these rooms, which is great in winters. There are a total of Four rooms here, each room is priced Rs. 6,500 per day.

Rooms in Trishul Cottage: A delightful cottage, Trishul cottage is located a little walk up from Dunagiri House. A beautiful garden path through flowers and fruit trees leads to it. Utmost in privacy, utmost in silence. Stunning views of snow peaks and vast valleys in front from a wonderful verandah. Modern en-suite bathrooms with open-to-sky spaces. There are a total of Three rooms here, each room is priced Rs. 5,500 per day.

Rooms in Panchachuli Cottage A very cute cottage built in rural style, situated a little walk down from Dunagiri House. Cozy rooms with a wrap-around verandah with lovely views of the Panchachuli range. Private and serene amidst Oak trees. Mud plastered walls and stone flooring give these rooms that warm, rural feel. En-suite modern bathrooms. There are Two rooms here, each room is priced Rs. 4,500 per day.

Additional charges:


Extra bed: for children (between 6-12 years): Rs.1,000; for adults : Rs.2,000 per day.
Stay and meals for accompanying staff/drivers: Rs.500 per day.
Guide for treks/day trips: Rs.500 per trek/trip.

 

Being a nature retreat, we do not encourage heating rooms artificially. However, if the guest desires, there is provision made for heating the room via traditional bukharis (wood burning stoves) at an additional charge of Rs.500 per day (upto five burnings of bukari in a day.

We do request 100% advance payment prior to confirmation of bookings. Payment can be made via online intra-bank transfer or demand draft. Please note we cannot collect payment at site.

Cancellation policy: If you cannot travel due to an emergency or due to urgent personal reasons, please inform us at least two weeks (14 days) prior to expected date of arrival to reschedule your visit to a more convenient time. No charges for altering dates, however, you may be required to pay the difference between booked and existing rates at your time of travel. Travel must complete within 11 months of orginal schedule. No refunds.

Note: The Retreat is exclusive and not open to guests until reservations are confirmed. Preparations are put into motion, provisions are purchased and arrangements are made specifically for the visiting group. We DO try our level best that each group gets the best possible experience we can deliver. Hence, in this comparatively remote area in near wilderness, it becomes essential for us to plan in advance. To enjoy your visit to the fullest, you MUST make and have bookings confirmed sufficiently in advance. This will allow us time to prepare for your visit so you can have a more enjoyable and fulfilling stay with us.
